El Colegio Courbet reúne escuela, biblioteca y pabellón deportivo en tres volúmenes conectados que completan el tejido del barrio. El edificio escolar, de cuatro plantas, concentra en su nivel inferior los usos comunes y aquellos abiertos al vecindario fuera del horario lectivo.
Pasajes y vestíbulos enlazan las piezas, cuya disposición define patios de distintas dimensiones. El principal se vincula al recorrido peatonal entre la estación y el centro urbano; otro, más recogido, ofrece un ámbito para los niños pequeños.
La intervención conserva la vegetación existente e incorpora caminos, bancos y pavimentos permeables. Edificios y espacios abiertos forman así un conjunto que combina la actividad educativa con el encuentro y la continuidad de los recorridos urbanos.
Courbet School brings together classrooms, a library and a sports hall in three connected volumes that complete the neighbourhood fabric. The four-storey school building concentrates shared facilities and uses accessible to local residents outside school hours on its ground floor.
Passages and entrance halls link the buildings, whose arrangement defines courtyards of different sizes. The main courtyard joins the pedestrian route between the station and town centre; a smaller, more sheltered space accommodates younger children.
The proposal retains existing vegetation and introduces paths, benches and permeable paving. Buildings and open spaces thus form an ensemble that combines educational activity with opportunities for informal meeting and maintains the continuity of pedestrian routes through the surrounding neighbourhood.
