Casa Lignare II transforma un piso profundo de la calle Embajadores, en Madrid, mediante la eliminación de sus particiones interiores. Una banda continua de contrachapado concentra cocina, baños, almacenaje y la escalera de acceso al nivel abuhardillado.
Esta pieza organiza una secuencia de espacios entre la fachada y el patio, aprovechando la iluminación natural de ambos extremos. Sus elementos móviles y desplegables permiten adaptar la vivienda a distintas situaciones sin recurrir a una distribución fija.
Las estancias carecen de usos predeterminados y pueden acoger descanso, trabajo, encuentros o juegos. La continuidad de la madera unifica la intervención, mientras el espacio liberado a su alrededor ofrece a cada habitante distintas formas de ocupar la casa.
Casa Lignare II transforms a deep apartment on Madrid’s Embajadores Street by removing its internal partitions. A continuous plywood band integrates the kitchen, bathrooms, storage and the staircase leading to the attic level above.
This element organises a sequence of spaces between the street façade and the courtyard, drawing natural light from both ends. Its movable and fold-out components allow the home to adapt to different situations without relying on a fixed layout.
The rooms have no predetermined uses and can accommodate rest, work, gatherings or play. The continuity of timber unifies the intervention, while the space freed around it offers each inhabitant different ways of occupying and configuring the home according to need.
